Defeat Diabetes Campaign

"Defeat Diabetes" campaign was organised by our club RAC NYF under the guidance of respected Dr. Pranitha Gujrathi to raise awareness about the growing concerns, symptoms, and measures to lower an individual's risk of diabetes. This event was stretched along few days from September 25th to September 30th. On September 28, 2021, a live session with Dr. Pranitha Gujrathi was held to discuss diabetes facts and awareness, as well as a Q&A session was held along with that in which Dr. Pranitha responded positively to the queries.Diabetes that are termed as to as "a touch of sugar" or "borderline diabetes." These words imply that someone does not have diabetes or has a milder form of the disease, however diabetes affects everyone. The most common types of diabetes are type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. More than 70 million people have diabetes in India 1in 6 people with diabetes in the world are from India.On the day of the event, we successfully completed the target to test 200 people who were fully vaccinated at City Centre Mall, Nashik. Along with this we noticed that many people who got tested were not aware of their diabetes level and needed a doctor guidance. We are proud to announce that the event ended triumphantly and the objectives were sufficiently fulfilled.
